Thank you so much for this episode Antiques Roadshow. I think a lot of people don’t know how vital Chicago was back in the day. I know this is going to be a fun one.

There are very affordable protective archive portfolios for these. You save space and cost by looking through them like a large book. Store them flat in a cool, dry place. These will be worth more every year.

Would it be fun to run the first year of the Antique Roadshow. and with the current values of 2024?

I’m a dumb Mexican here in Santa Ana ca and right off I guessed painting was worth $1 million or more. I stopped watching antiques roadshow because the Americans on are always so ignorant. Almost stupid. Example. Some can’t tell if an Asian work is Japanese or Chinese, yet here on my iPhone I can see Chinese style coolies running around the painting. Like Duh!

I think the painting owner is almost sad to know how much it’s worth, it’s gone from being a sentimental item to being a commodity. Beautiful to watch though and very interesting story behind it.

He clearly wore it. The wear on the sticker on the back bezel and the dirt and oil inside the strap shows that. Despite that: SELL DUDE!!

I appreciate him so much but I didn't know his love for horses was so deeply rooted. What a stunning piece of property. Huge Drag Race fan. Carson adds so much fun to the show.

If he was going to scrape it off would it have been better to choose an area that wouldn't show up compared to on the wing. I wonder if that brush around the base would have been at less obvious area. And one has to consider if the owner may choose to keep it that color even if everyone would prefer to see the correct color.

What a nice gentleman. That said, I can't truly believe he didn't know what he had. He may not have known its extreme price, but he definitely knew he had something of value. EVERYONE knows the brand Rolex is synonymous with "expensive." That's like someone saying, "I have this old Ferrari in my garage, but I'd be surprised if it's worth anything."
